Claiming travel expenses from US to Canada for rental

Like IRS allows, is it possible to claim travel expenses for US Canada travel on 216 return for visit to rental property during change of tenant?

If yes, are there any disadvantage of claiming this expense?

Tax paid in Canada on income excluded using 2555

Hello Nelsona,
We are correcting US taxes using 1040X. Would like to verify from you.

However, whatever tax she paid ...

Amendment of 216 return after assessment

My 216 return was quickly assessed by CRA and I could see my assessment on line. After checking I realized that it requires correction so that my refund can increase.

Similar to T1, we have T1-adj, is there a equivalent of 216 adjustment form or I resend revised return?

I know I can do additional work on TN for another employer. I can make another trip to border for that.

My question is when part time visa expires, do I have to again visit border to cancel or change ...

Hello Nelsona,

Hello Nelsona,

I checked RRSP slip. For some reason, it shows for period Mar to Dec 09 which is not useful for 2008 Departure T1 Adj.

How do inform to CRA to amend this RRSP record for unused portion?

I appreciate your comment regarding tax paid to one country or the other which make me ...
