Refund on contract & tax

Post by SnowMan110 »

Hey All,

Just had a quick question. If I done a contract website for someone and was paid $3k for the job which I then refunded do I need to declare anything in my tax's?

To cut a long story short I screwed up on delivery of the site I had no problem refunding the payee. It means I have earned $0 contracting this year and I have no expenses to claim so do I just ignore it all as if it was a bad few weeks? Which it was by the way!

Thanks in advance,

Scott :D
