What is the tax implication for commuting daily to Canada from US for employment with a work permit? would you be taxed by both Canada and US?

You will be taxed first in canada. And then in US. The IRS allows credit for your Cdn tax. I don't know if your state of reissnce gives credit for any foreign tax. If not you will basically pay Cdn fed, Cdn prov, and US state tax on those wages.
