I just found out that I have been incorrectly reporting my DCPP plan using the 8891 form. Thanks to Nelson who previously reference a KPMG article that mentioned that if the plan is 100% funded by the employer, there is no reporting requirement. Here is the article.

This applies to me and I have the following questions
1. Do I file 6 years of 1040x asking IRS to "remove" the incorrect 8891 form as it was not required?
2. Is there any official IRS reference or in the US/Can treaty that I can find where it specially mention about Canadian Registered Pension Plan that is 100% funded by employer and is not required to report? I spent a tremondous amount of time trying to find the reference but most of them only mentions RRSP/RRIF.
Thanks
Ken

Just stop reporting it. You went above and beyond. No harm in that.
As to refernce, why would you need more than what you have. Their info is porpoerly researched.

After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
Broken link for KPMG
Nelson, do you have a copy of the article in this link? The link seems to be broken.
