Euro account in US ?(switching $ US funds to Euros)

Post by bsayar »

Hi,

I am a Canadian currently working in USA. I want to switch my US dollars to Euros, instead of Canadian dollars. You can do this throu forex traders, but if they go broke your mnoney is gone (rnot insured by govt unlike bank account). I could not find any American bank that offers Euro accounts, by calling and searching on internet. Can anyone help ?

Thanks. Bobby.

P.S. FYI there are 2 banks in canada BNC and BNP Paribas that offer euro accounts. Both require in person visits, and I cant travel to Canada right now.
