I received money from my father deposited to a UK bank account to help purchase a US property.
I'd assumed the filing deadline was mid April, but I've just seen this saying the deadline for foreign trust deadline is mid March.
I need to file the 3520 but as its a gift its not a trust, therefore I'm not sure what the deadline actually is in my case.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
