Hello - I will briefly explain my situation, and hopefully someone on here will be able to clear up some confusion for me. I am a married Canadian citizen who moved to the USA at the beginning of March 2015. I am on a TN Status, and my wife is here with me on TD status (so she cannot work at all). We both had Canadian income for January, and February in Canada. Our Canadian tax returns have already been taken care of, and are not a problem. We did not make very much income in Canada, so regardless of how we calculate, exclusion of this income should be no problem since we already paid taxes on it all to Canada.
I am not filling out my US taxes and am getting a bit caught up on specifically form 2555-EZ. I have filled out form 1040 (normal full year, jointly married one), so I need to include my Canadian income for both my wife and myself. On line 21, I enter our total combined Canadian income, and I realize that it can be excluded on the next line and removed from the total taxable income through way of form 2555-EZ.
These are my questions:
1) Do we both need to fill out a form 2555-EZ for our separate Canadian income? I believe this is the case, but I just wanted to double check - since my wife has NO employer in the United States.
2) On Part III of the form 2555-EZ, do I just need to fill out that I was on business in the United States from March 2015 -> December 2015, and then calculate accordingly?
3) If question 2 is a yes, does my wife need to do the same, even though she is not in the USA on business?
4) Once form(s) 2555-EZ is completed, are there any additional forms that need to be filed? My plan is to just file the 1040 (normal one), the 2555-EZ, and the W7 ITIN application for her.
Very much appreciate any guidance or help with this matter - thanks!

Your software will handle these questions. You should NOT be doing any of these taxes by hand.
You both need 2555 (forget any of the EZ forms, do it right).

After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
