I am a Canadian citizen moved to work in the US in 2020 and has been filing my income tax with IRS since.
I just realized that I am obligated to report my RRSP to IRS - before my departure I closed my TFSA and bank accounts and heard RRSP is fine to keep...
I am going to report my RRSP from this year but how about the missing 5 years in the past? Do I need re-file or amend anything? Any one with similar situation?
I have made no contribution and withdraw from RRSP since 2020, zero cash flow in and out.
Thanks in advnace!

Re: Failed to report RRSP to IRS
You likely don't have any disclosures on the actual 1040 as the RRSP deferral is now automatic for US purposes.
Have you been filing FBARs during this time? If not, that's where you should be reporting the RRSP.

no, I did not file any FBARs (or FATCA) in the last five years. What remedy if any could I apply today?
Re: Failed to report RRSP to IRS
There is an IRS procedure for delinquent FBAR submissions.
