Hello
I was attending college in Canada till the end of 2011 and filled my taxes with the CRA for the years. I'm a US citizen and a Canadian PR if that matters. The home in Canada was partly under my name, my parent put it under my name for reasons I still don't understand today.
In Jan 2012 I started university in the US and rented an apartment for all of 2012 and 2013.
I filled my taxes in the US ever since and in 2013 I formed a US corporation also.
I stopped attending university at December 2013, and sometime in 2014 I transferred my part of ownership in the house to my parent. No money was ever exchanged.
The CRA sent letters to my old address in Canada that I had to file taxes for the years that I had left the country, I ignored them since I did not consider myself a Canadian tax resident. Until one day they sent two agents to my old address looking for me and requested that I would call them. My mother informed them and I have not been living in the country for years. I was not in the country and was asked to call them. I called them and left a voicemail telling them that I'm not in the country but never retrieved a call back.
There was no more contact from the CRA after that. I think the last contact was sometime in 2015.
My concerns: If I were to move to Canada again and become a tax resident, how likely is it for the to question my residency for the years I started college in the US?
Currently I have the following evidence if they question my non residency.
1. US college transcript
2. US Lease agreement for two years.
3. US Driver's licence
4. US Bank accounts
5. I may be able to get some car insurance records also
6. I can also file to get my IRS account transcript for those years.
Is there a reason to worry about this at this point? Should I try to gather more evidence about my US residency in case they question it again? I forgot to mention I never had any dependents in Canada.
Thank You

I would forget about this. CRA wouldn't bother going back more than 6 year AT MOST.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
