I got downsized last year from my US employer. ? re: MI Unemploy Insurance

Post by Grad467_2 »

I was working through a TN visa and the unfortunate happened. I was able to find work through a Canadian employer after the fact also during 2024.

I applied and successfully was able to get MI Unemployment Insurance.

My question is I assume I have to include the monies received from MI UI on my Canadian return under Other Employment Income (line 10400)?

Thanks in advance.

I assume that the MI UI payments would be included.

The reason for the post was to verify.

Any takers?

Thanks in advance.

After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
