You will be responsible for reporting world income until you move to CRA. You would not have had any other interpretation on this board.

Your move date can be established when you cross the border with your stuff, and sublet your apartment, etc. It is not difficult. Its based on facts, not intention.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best

Any confusion you might have is on how you FILE in US and Canada, and whether you are resident of Canada or not.

There are many ways to FILE in US, but that does not affect how your file in canada, wheich is strictly based on residentail ties.
