Need to change address on bank accounts?

Post by tony »

I am working in USA already.
But, one account in canada (President choice) does not take foreign address and will close it if I do. I am reluctant to do so as it will also close my credit card that causes me to loose credit score.

Is there any penalty for not changing my address? I will pay tax no matter what.
Some other accounts such as TD bank have been changed as they take a US address.

thanks

I never recommend fake address. Shame on PC for not accepting foreign address. They should lose your business.

One CC and one bank account in Canada is enough. Don't worry about credit score, it means nothing in Canada for most people, and absolutely nothing for you now that you are in US.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
