Liability insurance

Post by Augusta12 »

A US company hired me as a subcontractor. I setup a Canadian Corporation as I am going to work for Canadian Client in Canada. My US employer sent me the Agreement with a requirement to maintain the liability insurance at my expense, plus 1 year following termination of agreement. Is it a legitimate requirement? (I am an IT professional). Thank you for the advice.

Yes, it is a legitimate requirement, and even if it wasn't, it is a requirement for doing business with that customer.

Your choice.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
