Claim early 2014 Canadian income on US 1040NR?

Post by filkry »

I worked in Canada from January to April 2014 and then in the US from Sept to the end of the year. I am maintaining residency in Ontario for the 2014 tax year. I know I have to claim my US income in Canada and can get a foreign tax credit, but do I have to include my Canadian income on my US return, and if so can I get a tax credit on that?

1040NR reports only US-source income.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
