I am looking into turbo tax and tax act as we speak! Those two seem to be recommended the most.
I did read your previous answer again and it did answer my question, thank you!

EI is not earned income, other wise, it could be included in 2555.
Generally, a USC filing from canada with kids won't use 2555 because it prevents child tax credit.
So, since there are sufficient wages, and these will not be exempted, but will be used on 1116, it doesn't matter if ei is earned or not.

After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
ND, as nelsona mentioned she files using f1116 in order to obtain the additional child tax credit, so no f2555.
The income amounts will be filled out in their respective lines on the 1040: wages, interest, EI, UCCB etc, and then one f1116 will be used for gen limit income which covers wages, EI and UCCB and another f1116 for passive limit income which will be from a little bit of bank interest.
