Stimulus Payment for 2008 (eligible or not)

Post by shyboy »

Turbotax ask me to check on IRS website to find out How Much Was My 2008 Stimulus Payment (I didn't get this last year as I filled married and jointly and wife/kids didn't have ssn)

IRS website said: You received a total Economic Stimulus Payment in the amount of $0.00. You didn't qualify for the Stimulus Payment in 2008.

Is that means that once wife/kids have SSN I will qualify for the stimulus?
(I am planing to file extension until wife/kids receive their ssn. I am approved dunno how long it will take for their 485 approval)

Is there anyway to claim the stimulus for 2007? (wife/kids didn't have ssn in 2007)

thanks,

The Recovery rebate replced the stimulus. Its on the 2008 1040.

Unless your spouse gets SNN soon, you won't get it.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
