TDF 90-22.1 for year 2008

Post by penjoy777 »

Is the filing of form TDF90-22.1 in year 2008 different than from 2007. Form 2008 calls for interest in number of financial accounts. If the accounts are less than 25, there is no requirement to complete rest of the form but indicates to retain records for information.
Does that mean that if I have 5 Canadian accounts to report (which I did in 2007), I do not have to file the form this year

You've got it bass-ackwards:

If you have MORE than 25 accounts, you don't need to report them (just keep records fro review).

If you have LESS than 25 accounts, you need to list each one.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
