I was on a TN visa and I was layoff. Now, I'm back in Canada but I can have US unemployement from WA state...Do I will need to fill a US tax report for 2009 if I receive unemployement this year? I will put everything I receive on my Canada and Quebec tax report for 2009.
Unemeployment insurance from a US state is considered US source income. It should be included on your 2009 1040NR.
