2003 tax return converting to US from CAD

I'm not sure how my tax preparer came up with 2 figures on my US 2003 Tax Return.

CAD Line 120 Taxable Div from CAD $326.66
US Line 9a Ordinary Div $305.00

AND

CAD Line 121 Interest & Other Invest Inc $200.46
US Line 8a Taxable Interest $242.00

2003 Exchange Rate 1.40146175 CAD .713540701 USA

Also, where does CAD Line 130 Other Income $237.02 go on the US Tax Return? This was Interest from some investments.


Form 1116 is also confusing because the gross income reported on Line 1 of the form said Investment $535 (Resident of Canada)

What numbers do you use for Line 1 of this form?

Why don't you ask him what exchange rate he used, and what the other numbers mean, that's what you paid him for. He may have used a 2004 exchange rate, for example.
