What attachmets to send?

Post by Ingtar17 »

I have all kinds of attachments to send in with my past 6 years of taxes. Exchange Rate Calcs, Other calcs, Photocopies of T4, T3, T5, RRSP final balances, house sale calcs, etc. An H&R Blockhead told me that I don't need to include any attachements - just to report the numbers on the tax forms. Is this really true?

the IRS isn't intersted in any of your paperwork. They really only want their forms which include any of their tax that was withheld (w-2, 1099) and that's it.

if they want more, they will ask.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
