I do not wish to hide any income or misinterpret information. I was just checking on the forum to make sure that I do not overstate or understate my spouse income.

We arrived in July 12 and I have not yet filed for Universal Child Credit nor ...

I could not find any net income, there is Gross Income and Taxable income.

So does the taxable income signify the net income ?

Also I was going through the form for Child Tax Credit and there it ask for net income.

Does that mean the I have to specify my spouse US income after taxes (the paycheck amount) or the income that is reported on the company offer letter or is it from the W2.

This is the first time I am filing in Canada. In that case will Ufile work?

Also need some more information regarding how to apply for Universal child Credit, Child tax credit and GST/HST credit.

Do I have to apply prior to filing returns

Months at a time is not an options, but say two weekends per month. Sometimes a whole week that would be 4-5 times a year ...

Also forgot to mention, I have two kids who are my dependants and living with me in Canada. I did not work in the year 2012.

I am a Canadian PR holder and I have moved to Canada on 2nd July 2012. But my husband is still working in the US on H1B.

Neither of us are citizens of US nor Canada. My husband is planning to file taxes in US and I am planning to file in Canada.

Can someone please suggest how to go ...
