I am a greencard holder (perm resident) of the USA and a Non resident of Canada. Have lived in USA all of 2014 but received Canadian Unemployment Insurance from March-September 2014 while in the USA. I have no other income.
How does my husband claim my Canadian EI on our US taxes? What forms do we need to fill out?
Any advice is greatly appreciated! We really do not even know where to start with this!
how to file USA taxes with Canada EI

You can put it as "other income" on 1040.
Since you received permission to draw EI while living in US, I presume they withheld flat tax on it, so you would report that as a credit on form 1116 general limit income.
Have you correctly filed your departure return for Canada in 2013, or will you in 2014?

After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best

I filed my taxes in 2013, spoke with CRA and told them I was no longer a resident and they instructed me to put on my 2013 return that I ceased being a resident of Canada as of Sept 2013.
Thank you for the reply!!
I also have a tiny RRSP, that my former employer gave me. I have never contributed to it. I understand I need to make IRS aware of this. Do we fill out form 8891. Is there anything else I need to make IRS aware of?
I have a Canadian bank acct and credit card. I do I have to provide anything regarding that?
I really appreciate your help!

Ther RRSP reporting requirement of Form 8891 is no more.
If the total of all your foreign accounts wass more than 10K US at any time in 2014, you need to file what is known as FBAR. You should have also done this in 2013, if you filed jointly with your husband (in whaichg case you would also have reported your Cdn income for 2013 on that 1040 as well).
Your software will direct you on that.
