Hi,
I am a dual citizen planning to move back from the US to Canada. I have some money in certificates of deposit, and own a home as my primary residence with a room being rented out to a student. I am wondering about the preparation I should do before the move. Is it necessary to sell the home and early-withdraw all my deposits before the move to avoid extra taxes? Selling the home can be tricky given I am doing a job search in Canada and may have to move on short notice when I get a job offer. What would be the cons of selling my investments after my arrival in Canada?
