25% withholding non-resident

Post by taxquestions » Fri Sep 13, 2019 6:16 pm

If I become a non-resident of Ontario, Canada and become a US resident, but as a sole-prop still derive income from sales inside Canada (Products are stored in Canadian warehouses, and sold/shipped to Canadian residents) would I still be subject to 25% CRA withholding on my net Canadian income?

If so, is there any methods of reducing or eliminating this withholding as non-Canadian resident?

The income would be subject to ordinary income tax, as reported on a return, not non-resident withholding tax.
