I renounced US citizenship last June 20 and am now doing my final return. I was a US citizen for 170 days, 46.6% of the year. Do I claim 46.6% of the standard deduction and personal exemption? Thanks
No, you file as dual status, which means you end up filing a 1040NR, which has no standard deduction. You can only itemize.
You do get the full exemption.
