What is the best way to file a late form 3520A? We asked for an extension of the normal tax return and only realized we needed to submit a 3520 for a TFSA so we're filing that now, but we hadn't filed an extension for a late 3520A.
I am also entering the streamlined program for last year's tax returns to backfile the TFSA last year. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
Just wanted to add: would the best way to file the late 3520A is to file the 3520 on the regular tax return (since I have an extension) and then the 3520A on a streamlined for 2016? I am already doing streamlined for 2015.
