Importing car to US
I am planning to move to the US later this year. Can you advise as to how to import a vehicle from Canada into the US? I drive a 9 year old Acura.

You have to contact Honda/Accura USA HQ and ask for a
letter that states that the VIN meets US requirements
and that it is up to date for recalls.
Key issue for Canadian cars of that period may be tire pressure sensor which is impractical
to retrofit. Do you have this? This is what stopped me.
You should call Honda right away to establish compliance but your
letter may only be valid for a month, so timing is key.
As a general rule car importation is not worth the hassle.
