Born in 1955 in New Westminster, BC, I immigrated with my family to Southern California in 1957.
Outside of trips back to BC to visit family, I have lived my entire life in Cali. I am planning to retire in the next few years (I'm a public school teacher) and return to Canada.
I possess both US and Canadian Passports.
In retirement I am due my school pension as well as social security. I will be selling my home here prior to moving back.
As I understand it, in order to qualify for medical insurance I need to establish permanent residency.
What should I do or who should I contact to ensure that I get all my ducks in a row and don't have any surprises with the move?
Thanks in advance!
