Working remotely from the US for a Canadian company on H4 visa

Post by sheri »

hi all,
Our family is moving to the US this summer as my husband will be working there on an H1 visa. While my husband will have H1 status, I will be holding an H4 visa. No EAD yet. I'm hoping to continue working remotely from the US for my Canadian company. Is this allowed while I'm on an H4 status?

If the Cdn company has no [presence in US, then you may be allowed to work remotely with that firm; otherwise they would need to sponsor you for a US work status, if you are eligible.
