H1B legal fee (cost of obtaining one)

I was told by my employer that legal fees for obtaining H1B visa are about 10000$.Can you tell me from your experience how much does it cost (approx.) to obtain H1B for somebody who already works for the USA company in USA on TN visa.

The cost would be the same whether you were on TN previously or not.

I know, but what is usual dollar figure for the whole process?

$10,000 seems a bit high. You should be able to get by for half that with some very competent attorneys. $1500 of those fees, the training fee, must be paid by the employer and cannot be charged back to you.
