RRSP contributions made while full year non resident

Post by NewCanadian »

Hello Nelsona,
I took up job in US from Dec 08 and full 2009 on TN visa. While in Canada, my employer made contribution had to be moved within the plan since I left the employment for which RRSP provider sent me 2009 contribution slip.

What can I do with RRSP contribution made but not useful till I move to Canada which may be a possibility some time in future.

Can I send it to CRA with only 216 return and part of RRSP amount be deducted on line 208?

Then ask it in the tax forum please.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
