Criminal Record?

Post by johnny_p » Tue Apr 04, 2006 8:57 pm

Hello,

Several years ago in an unfortunate incident I was charged with (i) trafficking of a controlled substance and (ii) possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance. The charges were "Withdrawn".

Will I have a problem getting an H1-B visa? I am a Canadian citizen and have no current criminal record (ie. search of the CPIC system comes up empty).

Regards,
Johnny

A U.S. immigration question - not an appropriate question for this forum.

In Canada this would definitely not pose a problem. Having the charges withdrawn is more favourable for you than even being found Not Guilty.
