Pay by Credit Card - TaxAct 2014

Post by DonMurphyCanada »

TaxAct 2014 has a new "Pay By Credit Card" option.

Does anyone know if you are "allowed" to use this option if you are a US citizen (living in Canada) if you are allowed to use this service?

How do you "paper file"? Print it off as usual and include a copy of the receipt in the paper packet?

Thanks

Don

Don, I am not sure if I understand your question. I am a US Citizen living in Canada and I am using TaxACT. This is my first time using TaxACT. I created and account
and I paid 12.99$ (with my Canadian credit card) for the Deluxe online version. I am happy with it so far. Only one small disappointment: the program does not support Form 2555-EZ. It support only Form 2555 (which one can always use in place of 2555-EZ except that it takes longer to complete and it is more complicated to complete).

I think our poster may be referring to paying the US tax that he owes, not paying for taxact service, which is obviously done by credit card.
