As a dual citizen residing in the US with a RRSP, I was led to believe that I must deal with a Canadian broker licenced in Canada and the state I lived in (Virginia). I wish to change to a discount broker (Canadian) and self-direct the account. Am I able to do that? Are there still restrictions on the proportion of the RRSP that is not Canadian content? Art

you must switch to such a broker in canada. there is no foreign content limit anymore.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
