IRA to SEPIRA

Post by waynehooper »

Is is possible to transfer your IRA to a SEPIRA?
(both are already setup)
Is there any tax consequences?
Reason to consolidate: 1 account instead of 2, SEPIRA allows more flexibility in investments (rental property, etc)

IRA, 401(k), and SEP IRA accounts are generally in the same category, and transfers can be made directly between accounts without tax consequence.

Each of these retirement accounts permit for the same range of investments, including self administered investments.
