Mutual Funds within RESP

I can't work my head around this...If I have mutual funds within a RESP do I complete 3520 and\or 8621 ?

Since an RESP is a trust that has been accorded NO special status, you are required to file 3520 because it is a trust, and PFIC forms for each mutual fund it holds.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
