Land lord insurance for rental property in Canada

Hello,

Please let me know if this is not the right forum to post this.

I am a dual Citizen of U.S and Canada and living in the U.S. I have a rental single family house in Ontario and Canadian insurance companies are saying in order to get a Landlord insurance, I need to have a Professional property manager. Some even say they will not even insure the property if I am out of Ontario. But I don't get a concrete answer as different agents saying different things.

Anyone has any experience on this? What insurance are you using?
