My wife has just started consulting for a US company. She had been requested to fill out a W-8IMY to send payment.
Is this form used to determine US tax withholding or is it used to forward payment to a foreign financial institution. I am struggling with how to fill out this for.
She is a Canadian Citizen and resident. And is consulting as an individual person and not within a company.
