I’m so new to this and have looked at some threads and am a little lost.
I’ve been living and working in the US since 2022.
I have a son who lives with his mother in Canada.
I have both a US and Canadian Bank account (they are both with TD so I can transfer money for child support from the US to Canada to her).
I don’t own any property in Canada.
last year I filed as a Canadian resident as I moved at the end of 2022, but for this year I’m not sure what to do.
Sorry. Need some tax filing advice.

Re: Sorry. Need some tax filing advice.
I’m a little hesitant to go to the local hr block as I’m not so confident. And I tried to set up a consultation but they aren’t booking until mid May.

Can anyone recommend an accountant who does paid consultations?

I guess the first question would be what's your intent? Are you planning on returning to Canada any time soon?
Second, what are your housing ties to Canada? Do you still keep a residence in Canada, or are you exclusively living in the US these days?
You'll likely be using Article IV(2) of the Treaty (The Tie-breaker Rules) to dictate your residency. More specifically, you'll be looking at the Residence and Center of Vital Interest clauses.
Off the top of my head, I would lean towards you being a US Resident for tax purposes, and using the Tie Breaker rules to support your filing position.
