Health Benefits Trust Fund

Hi, in advance, I think this is likely a non-issue, but: I am possibly going to be able to access group health insurance which is paid out of a "Health Benefits Trust Fund." I recognize this is not an uncommon form of group health insurance in Canada, and since it's really good insurance, I'd like to sign up. But, as a US/Canadian dual citizen, I am wondering if receiving any benefits from such a plan would be taxable and/or reportable in the US, since it is paid for out of a trust.
