Deceased spouse and rrsp

Post by Lolapalola »

I am a Canadian with dual American citizenship. My husband and I have been permanent residents in US for 20 years. My husband recently passed away and has an RRSP in Canada. I would like to keep RRSP as is but transfer to my name. Not cash in but rollover. What are my options? Thx

Roll it over to an RRSP account in your name. There would be no tax in either country.
nelsona non grata. Non pro. Please Search previous posts, no situation is unique as you might think. Happy Browsing :D
