How to declare CDN sourced US payroll income

Post by curiousremoter »

Hello,

I moved to Canada from the USA as of Aug of last year but all of my employment income was from US payroll. I need a way to declare the part of the income that was sourced to Canada from remote working before the move as well as after the move since I stayed on US payroll.

What is the correct way to do this, is it OK to put the income under "Employment income not reported on a T4 slip"?

Also, for equity compensation sourcing, I read the calculation is the ratio of working days in each country between the grant and vest dates. Am I supposed to exclude vacation and holidays from this calculation?

Thanks
