Dual Citizen Question

Post by tedmac »

I am a dual citizen of Canada and USA living in Vancouver and have always worked for US companies. I have recently retired. All of my financial assets are in the USA mostly within IRA accounts. If I decide to leave Canada to leave in the USA will I still owe taxes in Canada ? If I do, is there a limit on the number of years that I would still owe taxes ?

As soon as you move to US, you would be free of Cdn taxes on non-Cdn income.
nelsona non grata. Non pro. Please Search previous posts, no situation is unique as you might think. Happy Browsing :D
