Didn't file TD F90 22-1 for previous years

Didn't file TD F90 22-1 for previous years

I just came to realize that I have to file TD F90 22-1 on my foreign accounts that are more than $10k in total value. I will file it for 2009.

But if I didn't file it for any previous years, do I have to file amended TD F90 22-1 forms for previous years? Do I have to include a cover letter to explain why I didn't file it previous years?
