T3 slip IRS/CRA

Post by tsuchiya »

I am a US resident in 2009 but I also need to file my income to CRA as my wife is working in Canada in 2009. I received a T3 slip showing capital gain (box 21) and other income (box 26). If I understand correctly, the income shown in this slip taxable in US. So, my question is if I pay tax to IRS based on the T3 amount, do I have to pay tax to CRA? How does the tax treaty work on this case?
