Leaving US for vacation - I-94 question

Post by Kelli »

I'm a Canadian citizen in the US on an E2 visa. I am planning a 3-1/2 week trip to Canada and then on to the UK (direct flight but stopping in the US), then back again the same way.

On the back of my I-94 it says that I must surrender it when leaving the US. Does this also include temporary absences such as a vacation? The I-94 is good until 2007. If I do have to surrender it, do I then fill out another one on my way back into the US?

Thanks!

I mean...he has to take a tax(i) cab to get his I-94 at home.
