I'm a non-resident Canadian, living in Arizona for several years with Green Card and American husband. I have a federally-regulated locked-in RRSP with TD Canada Trust which I would like to unlock and cash out. They tell me that I have to travel to Canada and do it in person.
There's nobody working at the branch that has my RRSP who has actually ever met me - I moved years ago and they have a lot of staff turnover.
Has anyone been able to unlock from within the U.S., without making a trip? Please tell me how you accomplished it!
Has anyone unlocked an RRSP from outside Canada?
