Can I request form 6166 from the IRS ?

Can I request form 6166 from the IRS ?

I formed an single owned LLC last year and will be filing as a sole proprietorship. I will be requesting Form 6166 from the IRS- Foreign Tax Certification to prove to Canada Revenue that I am indeed a US resident.

I've read the instructions for requesting form 6166 and I am confused. There's a section that if you are a single member LLC you can request it. However, the instructions says if you are single member LLC -flow though entity you are not eligible.

Does anyone have any experience in obtaining form 6166? Thanks.
