Option trade income not included in my 1099B?

Post by octane99 »

I did some stock trades in E*Trade last year. While reviewing my 1099B, I found it does not include one option trade. I sold an covered call and bought to close few days later and made around $200.

I read some publications so I don't mind add this $200 as my capital gain. However, I have a concern that since it is not included my 1099B, will it raise a flag for IRS? They may think that my 1099B is not correct?

What is my best solution, ask E*trade to issue a new 1099B? Does someone else have same situation before?

Thanks
