DAD TAXES

Post by jimmypat »

Good day.. I live in Ontario. I am male, employed, single. never married or common-law. I have a son who lives with his mother. I pay voluntary child support & contribute to his daycare costs. There is no court order or written agreement at this time. The daycare provider supplies me with a receipt for tax purposes which contains the amount of my conrtribution for the year. Can I claim this amount for Tax year 2007? As well, I have a receipt for 2006. Should I file for a re-assesment? Can I claim my child supprt contributions? Thanks for any help / tips...
